Associate Professor in Computer Science
MCA | Pursuing Ph.D. (Part-time, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (DU)

Mrs. Pushpavathi K is a dedicated and experienced computer science educator with over twenty-five years of teaching experience, committed to fostering student engagement and academic growth in technology and computer science disciplines. She is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the School of Arts and Science, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University). She holds an MCA in Computer Applications and is pursuing her Ph.D. in Computer Science part-time at Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation.

She began her career in 2000 as a Senior Faculty at NIIT, Chennai, imparting computer education to arts and science students. She later joined Annai Violet Arts and Science College, Chennai, as a Lecturer before moving on to higher academic positions. Throughout her career, she has guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students in their projects, presented papers at national and international conferences, and organized seminars, workshops, and internship training programs for students. She has also published several research papers in peer-reviewed international journals.

As an educator, Mrs. Pushpavathi is passionate about introducing students to recent trends in computer technologies and encouraging them to develop applications that address real-time problems. She envisions making significant contributions to the development of the Department of Computer Science and is enthusiastic about creating a vibrant academic environment that inspires students to pursue higher studies, engage in research, and achieve professional excellence.
