Dr. V. Ananthan is a mathematician, researcher, and academic leader dedicated to advancing the mathematical sciences and mentoring the next generation of scholars. He is currently serving as the Head and Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the School of Arts and Science, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (DU), where he plays a key role in academic leadership, research development, and student guidance. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics, with research expertise spanning Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, Difference Equations, Numerical Methods, Stability Analysis, and Mathematical Modeling. His scholarly work focuses on bridging rigorous mathematical theories with real-world applications in science and engineering.

Dr. Ananthan has made significant contributions to mathematics through his extensive research and innovations, publishing more than 20 research papers in reputed Scopus, SCI, and UGC-Care indexed international journals, authoring and co-authoring 2 academic books in the field of mathematics, and securing 4 patents, showcasing his innovative approach to applying mathematical principles in practical domains and presented and published papers at prestigious international conferences, including high-impact papers at globally recognized forums.

As a recognized Ph.D. research Supervisor, Dr. Ananthan has guided and continues to mentor research scholars on advanced mathematical topics. He also serves as a reviewer for reputed mathematics journals and contributes to academic boards and curriculum development within his institution. A passionate teacher, Dr. Ananthan emphasizes both conceptual clarity and analytical problem-solving in his teaching. He actively mentors undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, encouraging them to engage in research, publish their findings, and develop professional skills. His guidance has enabled many students to excel in higher studies, competitive examinations, and academic careers.
