Dr. N. Susitha is an accomplished academician and researcher with over 15 years of teaching experience in reputed higher education institutions. She is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the School of Arts and Science, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Chennai Campus. Her professional journey began in the IT industry as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions, a CMM Level 5 company, where she gained valuable experience in large-scale projects and process-oriented practices before moving into academia.

In her current role, Dr. Susitha also serves as the Innovation Coordinator of the Institute Innovation Council (IIC). As SPOC, she actively mentors students and organizes various innovation-driven activities such as the Smart India Hackathon, ideation workshops, and motivational sessions that nurture creativity, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving skills among learners. She also contributes significantly to institutional initiatives by serving as the Coordinator for Camu, the Institution’s LMS online portal, ensuring seamless academic and administrative integration. Additionally, she plays an active role in ICT Academy activities and has enhanced her expertise through its state-of-the-art training programmes, bringing advanced knowledge to her teaching and research practices.

Dr. Susitha holds an MCA with distinction, an M.Phil. in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science awarded in 2020. She is also TN-SET qualified. Her research interests include Biometrics, Digital Image Processing, and Machine Learning. She has published 15 papers in reputed international journals including Springer, Elsevier, and IEEE, presented at international conferences with Best Paper recognitions, and contributed to two IoT-related patents published by Intellectual Property India. A passionate lifelong learner, she has completed several MOOC certifications in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and secured a Topper Rank in the NPTEL certification on Machine Learning. Through her teaching, research, innovation, and professional contributions, Dr. Susitha continues to play a pivotal role in advancing Computer Science education and inspiring students to excel in academics, research, and innovation.

She has also authored and contributed to academic books on emerging technologies and completed several MOOC certifications, securing a Topper Rank in NPTEL’s Machine Learning course. Through her teaching, research, and innovation-focused initiatives, Dr. Susitha continues to inspire students to pursue excellence in academics and real-world problem-solving.
