Dr.D.Shanthi Revathi is an accomplished academician and researcher with over 24 years of experience in management studies, finance, and commerce. She holds multiple degrees including Ph.D., M.Phil., MBA, M.Com., and M.Sc. She Completed her M.Sc in Home Management at Queen Mary’s College, (2000) and her M.phil in Family Resource Management at MTWU (2003),MBA in Finance at MTMU(2011), M.Com. at Annamalai University (2022). She holds her Ph.D from Sathyabama University (2014), with her doctoral thesis titled,” Problems & Prospects of Women entrepreneurs with special reference Micro-Enterprise in Chennai City”.

She is currently serving as Associate Professor & Head in the department of Business Administration at School of Arts & Science, VMCC, Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (DU) since March 2023. In addition, she plays a key role as Vice President in EDC-IIC cell and Joint Coordinator in Women Empowerment Cell.

Her career spans leadership and teaching roles in reputed institutions such as St. Joseph’s Arts & Science College, Nehru Arts & Science College, Alpha College of Arts & Science, and Sathyabama University. She has also held key administrative positions, including Deputy Registrar in MAHER and Principal-in-charge in MGRIHMCT.

She has published widely in Scopus-indexed journals & UGC care journals on topics such as women entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and Finance. She has also authored multiple textbooks in management and business studies. She has published several book Chapters, published patents in management areas.

In addition, she has completed her certification course in Re-skilling in IIC. She is a certified trainer by Wadhwani Foundation. She has been recognised with awards such as the Senior Woman Educator and Scholar Award (NFED, 2020) and Kalam Arivu Maamani Award (2020), Best Professor cum Motivational Speaker, CIMATS, Puducherry (2024), and Women Academic Excellence Award from Primes Women’s Award (2024).

She is also a certified soft skills trainer and an active member of professional bodies, including the International Association of Soft Skills Trainers, and actively contributes as a soft skills trainer, BOS/DC member, and professional association member. She holds a lifetime membership in Research at SIDVI Foundation. Her areas of expertise include finance, entrepreneurship, digital marketing, human resource management, and women’s empowerment.
