Dr. A. Krishnamoorthy is an academician, researcher, and mentor committed to advancing knowledge in commerce through teaching, research, and academic leadership. Since July 2017, he has been serving in the Department of Commerce at the School of Arts and Science, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Chennai Campus, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. He holds a Ph.D. in Commerce with specialization in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Taxation.

His academic contributions include seventeen publications in UGC-CARE listed journals, several papers in Scopus-indexed journals, and seven in Web of Science journals. As a dedicated research supervisor, he has successfully guided three Ph.D. scholars, is currently supervising one full-time scholar, and serves as Co-Guide for three scholars at Annamalai University. In recognition of his commitment to research mentorship, he was honored with the Best Research Guide Award by Dr. Nazeema T.H., former Director of SAS. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Studies and an External Member of Ph.D. Committees in Commerce and Management.

In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Krishnamoorthy has played key administrative and coordinator roles. He served as Head of the Department of Commerce for three years and currently functions as the First-Year Coordinator at SAS. He has also worked as Alumni Coordinator, Camu LMS Coordinator, and is presently the Institutional Scholarship Coordinator, ensuring smooth academic and student support processes. His involvement in organizing departmental events and Alumni Meet 2024 highlights his commitment to fostering collaborative learning and alumni engagement.

His teaching portfolio extends beyond core commerce subjects to applied areas such as Tally and Investment Behavior Studies, equipping students with practical skills for their professional growth. A trilingual academic proficient in Tamil, English, and Hindi, Dr. Krishnamoorthy envisions education as a transformative tool that empowers students, particularly those from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds, to become competent professionals and socially responsible citizens.
