Dr. Ambikavathi C is an academician in Computer Science and Computer Applications with an active career in teaching since 2006. Over the years, she has served in reputed institutions as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Since July 2023, she has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the School of Arts and Science, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University). In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she contributes as the Joint Coordinator of the institution’s weekly newsletter, Voice of Vinayaka.

She completed her B.Sc. in Mathematics (1997–2000), MCA (2000–2003), and M.Phil. in Computer Science at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Sathyabama University, Chennai, with her research focused on the Prevention of Security Breaches in Distributed Computing. She is also UGC-NET and SET qualified in Computer Science, further strengthening her academic credentials.

With eighteen years of teaching experience, Dr. Ambikavathi has guided students at both UG and PG levels in mastering programming and computational methodologies. Her research contributions include paper presentations at three national and five international conferences, along with the publication of four research papers in reputed national and international journals. She has also successfully completed three NPTEL–SWAYAM certification courses. Her areas of research interest include Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Network Security.

As an educator, Dr. Ambikavathi is deeply committed to enhancing students’ understanding of programming methodologies and nurturing them to become competent professionals. She envisions her role as one that inspires students to embrace research and innovation while building strong technical foundations.
