Dr. Monika G. is a dedicated Computer Science academician and researcher with over 12 years of experience in teaching, research, and IT administration. She specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity, with notable contributions in curriculum development, innovation-driven teaching, and research funding acquisition.

She has published research in Scopus and WoS-indexed journals, authored four books on emerging technologies, and filed a patent on anomaly intrusion detection in cloud environments. She has served extensively as a Guest Speaker, Resource Person, and Trainer, delivering sessions on Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, and Digital Era Implications for academic institutions, government initiatives, and industry-supported programs. She has trained over 100 school teachers in AI through the Government of Tamil Nadu and Microsoft’s TEALS & Nirmaan NGO initiatives, mentored students in the EDII School Innovation Program, and addressed faculty and students at multiple institutions. She has also convened international conferences, hackathons, and workshops, including the First International Conference on Recent Innovations in Intelligent Computing (2023) and the Smart India Hackathon (2024). As a mentor, she has guided 14 student teams in CSIR-CECRI competitions (with one team winning second prize), received NPTEL Mentor Certificates for Python for Data Science and Python: The Joy of Computing, and pioneered the first Hackathon in an arts and science college, encouraging students to file 10 patentable projects under the Kapila scheme. Under her leadership, students participated in the TN-EDII Hackathon 2024, with 3 teams selected among 4600 ideas across Tamil Nadu, making her institution the only arts and science college from Chengalpattu district to achieve this milestone. She has also secured the Celonis Academic Alliance Award and the MongoDB Academic Alliance Award for her department, recognising her outstanding student participation. As a certified Heartfulness trainer, she integrates personal development into her academic work and has conducted workshops on self-development.

At the School of Arts and Science, Vinayaka Missions Chennai Campus, with the support of the campus incubation centre (GIEC), she has guided students to startup ideas, including one under her direct mentorship. She has also encouraged students to present their research ideas at Conferences, enhancing their academic and professional exposure, and successfully shortlisted a student’s idea in the Peace Innovation Challenge at the Peace Conference competition. She has actively worked to empower students into successful professionals by organizing numerous workshops on technical skills, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Her professional achievements reflect a strong balance of research, teaching excellence, student mentorship, and institutional growth.
