Ph.D. in Chemistry

The Ph.D. in Chemistry is a research-intensive program aimed at fostering independent scholars with strong theoretical knowledge and advanced experimental skills. It offers specialization in areas such as Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Analytical, Environmental, Polymer, Medicinal, Nanoscience, and Materials Chemistry, with scope for interdisciplinary applications in healthcare, energy, and sustainability. The program emphasizes research methodology, publication ethics, instrumentation, and data analysis, preparing scholars for careers in academia, industry, and international research collaborations.

Post Graduation in Chemistry (Interdisciplinary Research shall be allowed and encouraged)

Fellowships/ scholarships

  • Full Time Scholars will be given a stipend of Rs. 25,000 / Month
  • UGC – NET / UGC – CSIR NET / GATE cleared candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 30,000 / Month

Procedure

Applicants must take a written test and appear for a personal interview (UGC – NET / UGC – CSIR NET / GATE cleared candidates are exempted from the written tests), M.Phil. Full-time / part-time candidates are not exempted.
