Ms. M. Vilasini is a dedicated researcher and educator in the field of International Business, committed to advancing knowledge in global trade and fostering academic excellence among students. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Management (International Business) at Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu (2021–present), with her doctoral research focusing on India’s spice export industry, exploring trade performance, growth opportunities, and challenges. Alongside her research, she has three years of teaching experience, handling postgraduate courses such as International Marketing, EXIM Management, Global Business Strategy, Management Concepts, and Business Research Methodology.
Her academic journey began with a BBA from Dr. URCW College for Women, Karaikudi (2019), followed by an MBA in International Business from Alagappa University (2021), where she completed a dissertation on India’s spice exports. She has since built her expertise in empirical research, data analysis, and postgraduate mentoring, guiding students in research design and project writing. Additionally, she holds professional certification in CII Smart Manager and has developed strong competencies in research, academic writing, and student engagement.
She has contributed to academic literature through research publications in UGC CARE-listed and peer-reviewed journals. Her works include studies on the growth opportunities for spice exports in Tamil Nadu, the impact of COVID-19 on India’s spice exports, and macroeconomic factors influencing trade. She has also presented research papers at several national and international conferences.
At School of Arts and Science, she envisions education as a pathway to global opportunities, where students are encouraged to think critically, engage with real-world trade challenges, and prepare themselves to become competent professionals in international business.
