Ms. V. Abirami, M.Com., M.Phil., (Ph.D. – Pursuing), is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce at the School of Arts and Science, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Chennai Campus, since August 2017. She began her academic career as an Assistant Professor at Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Maduranthagam, where she worked for one year before joining VMRF. With over nine years of teaching experience in Commerce, she continues to contribute to both academic and research domains.

She completed her undergraduate, postgraduate, and M.Phil. degrees from the University of Madras and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Commerce at Annamalai University. Her research interests focus on Finance, Marketing, and Banking, while her teaching expertise lies in subjects such as Corporate Accounting, Financial Accounting, Income Tax, and Entrepreneurship.

Ms. Abirami has presented papers at both national and international conferences, with two papers at the national level and two at the international level. She has also published two research articles in UGC-CARE listed journals. Reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning and academic growth, she has successfully completed two online certification courses through the SWAYAM platform, securing an “Elite + Silver” grade in one of them.

Through her teaching, research, and continuous professional development, Ms. Abirami strives to equip her students with strong academic knowledge and practical skills in commerce.
