Dr. K. Leelavathy is serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce at the School of Arts and Science, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Chennai Campus, Paiyanoor. She holds an M.Com. and M.Phil. from Presidency College, Chennai, an M.H.R.M. from Pondicherry Central University, and an M.B.A. from Andhra University. She was awarded a Ph.D. in Management Studies with specialization in Human Resource Management from Mother Teresa Women’s University and a Ph.D. in Commerce from Parks College, Tirupur. She also qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) in Commerce in 2011 conducted by Bharathiar University.

With nineteen years of teaching experience, Dr. Leelavathy has served in B-Schools, Engineering Colleges, and Arts and Science Colleges. Over the years, she has published several research articles in national and international indexed journals. She has actively participated in academic forums, presenting more than forty papers at national and international seminars and conferences, where she has also received Best Paper Awards. Her scholarly contributions include editing the book Impact of Business on Social Trends and Movements (ISBN) and preparing the course material Credit Management for the B.Com. (Bank Management) program at Tamil Nadu Open University, Chennai.

In addition, Dr. Leelavathy has authored two books with ISBN: Job Satisfaction of Women Teachers in Self-Financing Engineering Colleges and Problems and Prospects of Handicraft Artisans in Thanjavur District. Her outstanding academic and research achievements have earned her several accolades, including the Best Researcher Award, the Best Doctoral Researcher Award (2023), and a Certificate of Excellence for producing centum results.

Through her dedicated teaching, extensive research, and scholarly publications, Dr. Leelavathy continues to make significant contributions to the fields of Commerce and Management.
