About the Office
The Office of Research is functioning to implement the VMRF-DU strategic plan by nurturing and promoting interdisciplinary research culture and encouraging collaborations at national and international level to achieve the highest ethical standards in research.

This office is the point of contact for the following issues:

Preparation and submission of research proposals to various funding agencies.
Funding Guidance
Identify sources of funding from different national and international agencies.
Interdisciplinary Programs
Guidance for initiating interdisciplinary university research programs.
Research Review
Periodic review of research activities across the institution.
Proposal Review
Review of proposals submitted by Principal Investigators.
Research Ethics
Addressing complaints pertaining to research misconduct.
Grievance Redressal
Addressing research-related grievances from faculty and students.

Dr. S.A.V. Satya Murty
Director Research - VMRF & Campus Director - AV Campus
Dr. S.A.V Satya Murty is currently working as Director Research - VMRF & Campus Director - AV Campus in Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation. Prior to joining VMRF, he worked as Distinguished Scientist & Director of Indira Gandhi Centre of Atomic Research, Kalpakkam.

Deputy Director Research
Dr. S. Suriyanarayanan is the Deputy Director Research of VMRF- Deemed to be University, overseeing the implementation and delivery of the Research and Impact strategy across the university and its constituent colleges.

Dr. R. Jaichandran is working as Head of Computer Science & Engineering department in AVIT with 13 years of experience in academics, research, and development activities.
