Mrs. Padma Ragam has been serving as an Assistant Professor (Grade-II) in the Department of English since February 2013. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she actively contributes to institutional development as the Fine Arts Coordinator and Women Empowerment Cell Coordinator.

She is pursuing her Ph.D. at Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation and has submitted her thesis titled “A Feminist Ideology of Women’s Liberation in the Select Works of Kamala Das and Maya Angelou”. Her research highlights literature’s role in social change, particularly in advancing feminist literary scholarship. She holds an M.Phil. in English from PRIST University, a Master’s degree from Annamalai University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Muslim Arts and Science College, Thiruvithancode.

With teaching experience spanning both Engineering and Arts & Science streams, Mrs. Padma Ragam has published papers in UGC CARE-listed and Scopus-indexed journals. She has actively participated in Faculty Development Programmes, seminars, conferences, and workshops, enriching her academic and teaching practices.

Beyond academics, she takes a keen interest in co-curricular and extracurricular activities and is deeply committed to student welfare. At the School of Arts and Science, she aspires to extend a helping hand to underprivileged students, guiding them in their pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.
